Recipe Feature: Opposable IPA Beer Chili

Although we’d argue that any day is a good day for chili, especially beer chili, a day filled with football is an even better day for chili. With the biggest game of the season right around the corner we knew it was time to share this delicious beer chili recipe with all of you.

Opposable IPA Beer Chili

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Serves: 8

-2 tablespoons of olive oil

-1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped

-2 garlic cloves, minced

-1.5 lbs of ground beef or turkey

-5 tablespoons of chili powder

-2 teaspoons of cumin

-1 tablespoon of paprika

-1-2 teaspoons of salt

-1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

-1 14 oz can of crushed tomatoes

-1 14 oz can of diced tomatoes

-1 can of kidney beans

-12 oz of Opposable IPA beer

1. In a large pot add your olive oil, garlic, and chopped onion and saute until translucent

2. Add in your ground meat and spices and brown until meat is fully cooked

3. Add in your beans, tomatoes, and beer, mix all ingredients together, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until flavors are combined and all ingredients are heated

4. Serve with cheese, sour cream, green onions or any toppings that float your boat

5. Have another Opposable IPA with your meal and cheer as loud as you can for the winning team
