It took us a few months, but we are proud to shout from the rooftops that we have started filling our old wine barrels with glorious fermented goodness to produce some freakin' awesome specialty beers. Did someone say saison? Yeah, we did. Our new barrel room will be cranking out some fantastic saisons, sours and all things amazing that come from barrel aging. Just like your mom, these specialty beers just keep getting better with age.

A blend of Our Sais It Ain't So Saison (our classic Belgian Saison) aged for 5 months in red wine and chardonnay barrels, picking up oakiness, a hint of red wine and a deliciously funky Chardonnay character. With the addition of some magical Hawthorn Berries we elevated the natural spiciness that you know and love in a farmhouse ale. Our GABF Silver Medal winner for Wood and Barrel Aged Beer is a brew we're quite fond of. We brewed our tart Berliner Weisse then aged it in first fill Chardonnay Barrels for just four months. What happened even blew us away. With a delicious gooseberry and Chardonnay nose, this effervescent ale dances on your tongue then finishes crisp and tart, leaving your mouth begging for more. A big and robust malty Brown Ale aged in oak red wine barrels for 7 month. After primary fermentation, a culture mix of brett and lacto were pitched to take this bold brew to the next level by adding a unique complexity that Judge Judy approves. Its already been settled in court folks, this is legally the awesomest beer in the world.
Barrel Aged / Wild Flanders Style Ale
We aged in red wine barrels a soft and malty ale with brett for 11 month which we then blended with a younger sour batch to yield something we believe to be pure enlightment.
BABY GOT BRETT
Brown Ale fermented in stainless with our house ale yeast then transferred to barrels with Brettanomyces addition. Aged 10 months in red wine Barrels. Earthy, funky barnyard, slight tartness and tropical notes all blended together with its nutty maltiness to balance out this lovely unique quencher.

Hey Girl…released just in time for your BLUE VALENTINE, we have the Barrel Aged version of the Ryan Goseling. We used ALL GOOD THINGS like red wine barrels and a healthy pinch of Brettanomyces, then aged it for a BIG SHORT six months. With a moderate oak character and an added enhanced sourness, this one will surely entice the ladies (and gentlemen) to STAY.

TEACHES OF PEACHES
Huh. Whaaat? Right. So maybe this brew has only been aged in red wine barrels for one year, but it’s still gonna take your ass to school. This special brew picked up nice wine tannins and complex oak flavor to yield a boldly unique offering. Fresh peaches were added to support the lightly malty backbone while adding a flavorful sweetness. “What else is in the Teaches of Peaches? Huh. What?”

Our two year anniversary Saisons might not be for everyone, but we can’t seem to keep our hands off of 'em. Boasting the traditional fruity yeast character of this historical style, we delicately placed our two most confident additions of Pomegranate and Cranberry to really take this relationship to the next level. With some time spent wrapped up with some red wine (barrels), we know you won't be able to keep your hands off of this one.

Our Nooks and Crannies took a bit of a nap and awoke as our Nooks and Grannies. Don’t fret, this barrel-aged Cranberry Spiced Ale has kept the delicious nutmeg and allspice character it was well known for, and gained a dash of timeless wisdom and off-handed inappropriate comments… like all the best grannies.
